How Our Buildings Are Built
Quality materials, proven methods, and a crew that takes pride in every build.
Floor System
Pressure-treated 2×6 floor joists spaced 16 inches on center, topped with 3/4″ LP ProStruct tongue-and-groove flooring. This gives you a solid, moisture-resistant deck that handles weight and weather year after year.
Wall Construction
Southern Yellow Pine 2×4 studs at 24 inches on center, with double studs every 4 feet for extra rigidity. A double top plate runs around the entire building for uniform load distribution and structural integrity.
Roof Framing
2×6 rafters at 24 inches on center with OSB roof decking. This framing handles snow loads and high winds while providing plenty of overhead clearance.
Shingle Roof System (Standard)
Every standard roof includes OSB decking, a moisture barrier, drip edge around the full perimeter, and 25-year architectural shingles. We use TAMKO Stormfighter FLEX shingles — the same shingles you’d find on high-end homes.
Metal Roof Option
Upgrade to 29-gauge metal panels over OSB decking and moisture barrier for a 10-year metal roofing system. Metal roofs are low-maintenance and handle severe weather exceptionally well.
Siding & Trim
LP SmartSide siding and LP SmartTrim on every building, with a 6-inch overhang on all sides to protect walls from rain runoff. LP SmartSide is an engineered wood product that resists rot, termites, and fungal decay.
Doors
Custom built with LP SmartSide and LP SmartTrim, featuring a T-handle locking system. Every building comes with a standard 64″ double door.
Windows
24″ × 36″ aluminum frame, single pane, with a full screen. Two locking positions: 3 inches (vent position) and fully open. Buildings 144 sq ft and under include 1 window; larger buildings include 2. Additional windows available in the configurator.
